🧠 How CivicFix Works

CivicFix is a citizen-powered platform designed to make public problems visible, prioritized, and accountable. Every feature in this app is built to ensure that real issues get real attention — transparently and fairly.

1
Problem Reporting

Any registered citizen can report a civic issue by adding a description, location, category, and images. This ensures that problems are grounded in real-world evidence.

Example: Road damage, water leakage, garbage overflow, electricity issues.
2
Public Visibility & Community Review

Once submitted, the issue appears in the public feed of the same locality. Other citizens can view, support, and validate the issue.

This prevents fake or irrelevant reports and builds community trust.
3
Voting System (Priority Signal)

Citizens can vote on problems they believe are genuine and urgent. Each citizen can vote only once per problem.

More votes = higher public importance. Votes cannot be manipulated.
4
Priority Calculation

Every problem is assigned a priority score based on:

  • ✔ Number of citizen votes
  • ✔ Verification status
  • ✔ Recency of the issue
  • ✔ Area-level impact
This ensures urgent and widely supported problems rise naturally.
5
Daily Top 5 Selection

At the end of each day, the system automatically selects the Top 5 highest-priority problems. These represent the most critical civic issues at that time.

Selection is automatic, transparent, and updated daily.
6
Solving Pipeline & Status Management

Selected Top 5 issues are moved into the solving pipeline and assigned the Pending status.

  • 🟡 Pending – Awaiting authority action
  • 🟠 In Progress – Being addressed
  • 🟢 Resolved – Successfully fixed
Status updates are visible to all citizens.
7
Authority Escalation & Export

For high-priority issues, the system generates structured reports that can be exported and shared with concerned departments or authorities.

Exports include issue details, images, vote count, and location data.
8
Resolution & Community Verification

Once an issue is marked resolved, citizens can verify the outcome. Verified resolutions are showcased in the Impact section.

This closes the loop — from reporting to real-world impact.

CivicFix is not just a reporting tool — it is a shared civic responsibility system. Every vote, report, and verification helps prioritize what truly matters.
